Walk up the outdoor stairwell, use the key pad on the door to enter the building. There is a loud beep while the door is open, it’s just a safety feature, don’t worry! 🙂


Who can come to this class?  Our beginner classes are all level yoga class.  While prior experience with yoga is helpful, it is not required.  In class, you are supported by a nylon fabric called tricot in the shape of a hammock. There are certain health conditions that are a contraindication for a class of this nature.  If you are pregnant-congratulations, please join us after you have your baby.  Vertigo, Glaucoma, low or high blood pressure, brain injuries, heart conditions, and recent botox injections (past 4 hours) are also conditions that make this class inappropriate for the duration of the condition.  However, a restorative aerial yoga session is still an option for many of these conditions; please contact us for further details.  You may also consult your physician or trainer additional guidance. 11 years of age is our minimum age to participate in a class. 

How much weight can the hammock hold?  Technically, the maximum load for a hammock is around 2,000 pounds. But, working with the hammock prop can be quite uncomfortable, and therefore not recommended, for students who are 250 pounds or more.  One rule of thumb is – if you can do 5 consecutive sit ups you are ready for a BAsics aerial yoga class.

What should I wear?  ALL JEWELRY MUST BE REMOVED PRIOR TO ENTERING STUDIO. Form fitting t-shirts, short or long sleeved, and Capri or long fitted pants are ideal for this practice, it offers protection from any irritation friction might cause on the backs of the knees or under the arms.  Please leave zippers, drawstrings and baggy clothes at home. Jewelry is pretty and we love it, but our hammocks do not; please leave this at home as well. Clothing should also cover all body jewelry and facial piercings removed before class.  First and foremost, this is primarily for your safety; secondarily, the preservation of our hammocks.

What do I bring?  Nothing is required for your participation in class. Please arrive well hydrated. For workshop attendees, please bring a small snack such as a piece of fruit, granola bar, or trail mix.

What else do I need to know?  Please do not eat a heavy meal in the two hours before class and it is highly recommended that you not eat an hour before your class time.  Trust me, you’ll appreciate the advice.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class beginning for paper work completion and to become acquainted with your hammock.  When you arrive leave your shoes in the cubbies outside the studio and bring only your handbag inside. Yogic philosophy is based around moving the practitioner towards a purity of mind, body and soul; please arrive clean and free from any strong odor or fragrance.  Hammocks may occasionally be shared or switched; please respect your fellow student.

Should I reserve a spot or can I just walk in?  pre-paid reservation guarantees you a spot in the class. Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come-first-serve basis, but due to the small and intimate class size (16 hammocks per class), a spot cannot be guaranteed unless students register online.  Cash or credit card payment are available for walk-ins. Multi-class passes are also available for purchase in person as well as online.

Can I register myself and my friend/family member at the same time? Yes. You will need to create an account for your friend/family member, pay for them through their account. They can sign the online waiver when they arrive for class. 

Class prices and policies: Classes are $20.  You can earn a free class by signing up for 10 classes @ $150! Class reservations may be changed up to 24 hours before class start time.  Classes are non-transferable and non-refundable, however we are happy to let you reschedule, provided you give 24 hours’ notice from class start time. Reschedules may occur within 30 days of the initial class. We don’t like no-shows, so come and fly with us!  Private classes also available for individuals or small groups.  We love working with clients on a one-on-one basis; please contact us for more details.

I really love aerial yoga, but the class times don’t fit my schedule-what do I do?  We love working with clients on an individual basis.  In fact, it’s our favorite way to offer class.  In these awesome cases, we like to talk with our client over the phone a day or so before the scheduled class to collect information about activity level, their current mental and physical mood, and anything they might like to address, strengthen, or stretch.  Our goal being to create a fully customized class.  In our opinion this is the best way to enjoy aerial yoga!  We are also happy to do semi-privates/small groups classes, birthday parties for kids/teens, and corporate special events.  Please inquire for pricing and details.

Can I get a refund? We do not issue refunds. Your class credits will remain valid for one year after purchase. You can login and register for class at any time, use your credit.
